Set of 6 Saint-Jaimes Chairs by Jean Nouvel. Ed. Ligne Roset
This set of six Saint-James chairs, designed by Jean Nouvel and edited by Ligne Roset, reflects the architect’s approach to furniture as a direct extension of architectural thinking. Each chair is built around a continuous tubular metal structure, fluidly connecting the legs, armrests, and back support in a single, legible gesture. The design is based on a controlled contrast between the slenderness of the frame and the generosity of the volumes. Slightly splayed legs provide a stable and elegant stance, while the large circular cushions bring comfort and visual weight. The suspended round backrest acts as a strong focal point, reinforcing the graphic and sculptural quality of the silhouette. The covers have been entirely remade in Arsen fabric by Pierre Frey, adding depth and texture while preserving the contemporary and timeless character of this iconic model.
