Set of 4 Chairs in the style of Clément Rousseau

Set of four violetwood chairs made in France in the 1980s by a follower of Clément Rousseau. The carved woodwork emphasises the rounded lines of the backs. Scrolls at either side frame the parchment panels, while tapered legs extend the chairs’ silhouette. The seats have been reupholstered in cream Pierre Frey mohair velvet. Their light colour contrasts with the dark wood and echoes the pale backs.
