Set of 2 Quadra Lounge Chair by Bernard Govin. Ed. Ligne Roset
This pair of “Quadra” armchairs by Bernard Govin, produced by Ligne Roset in the 1970s, reflects the experimental and visionary approach of French design from this period. Their fluid lines and low silhouette express a radical exploration of comfort, modularity, and new ways of living. The sculptural shells of these armchairs are made of fiberglass-reinforced plexiglass, forming a monolithic base with organic curves. They contrast elegantly with the softness of the generously padded cushions upholstered in white leather. This opposition between rigid structure and enveloping seating reinforces the futuristic and almost spatial character of the model. Situated at the boundary between furniture and sculpture, these armchairs possess a strong visual presence while offering deeply relaxed comfort. True icons of 1970s design, they bring a bold and avant-garde dimension to any contemporary interior or vintage design collection.
