Set of 2 Club Chairs by Jacques Adnet. Ed. Compagnie des Arts Français

This pair of armchairs by Jacques Adnet, produced by Compagnie des Arts Français, perfectly reflects the modernist elegance of French furniture from the interwar period. Their rigorous lines, geometric volumes, and compact proportions reveal a refined balance between architectural restraint and sophisticated comfort. Fully upholstered in their original leather, the armchairs display a rich patina that bears witness to their authenticity and history. The wide rectilinear armrests and cubic structure reinforce the deeply modernist character of the model. Documented in Meubles Nouveaux by Guillaume Janneau, published for the Exposition Internationale of 1937 by Éditions d’Art Charles Moreau, Paris, p. 35. New upholstery work is recommended. Our in-house workshop can undertake a complete restoration, offering fabric selections respectful of the spirit and character of the pieces.
