Seiz Breur Table by André Le Picard

This solid oak dining table is a significant example of the Seiz Breur movement, attributed to André Le Picard. Its design reflects a refined balance between regional tradition and modern construction, characteristic of the Breton avant-garde of the 1930s. The rectangular top features a carefully composed panelled structure in solid oak, framed by a carved apron with a continuous geometric motif. The robust legs, connected by a sculpted stretcher, provide both structural stability and a strong architectural presence. Equipped with two extension leaves of 50 cm each, the table can extend from 200 cm to a full length of 300 cm, offering generous seating capacity while preserving the clarity of its original design. A rare and highly functional piece, emblematic of Seiz Breur furniture at its most accomplished.
