S31 Stool by Pierre Chapo
The classic skills of french master Pierre Chapo can be seen in this outstanding piece created in 1974. Thanks to its simple spirit yet elegant in its silhouette and finishes, this is, to this day, one of the author's most sought-after pieces. The smooth surface of the structure is made of french elm wood, with rounded edges and precise finishes throughout its engineering. The structure rests on three feets othat intertwine to hide the elegant and stong carpentry techniques. As in the rest of Pierre Chapó's work, this piece shows a simple form made up of ingenious details in which Chapo displays his knowledge with distinction and sobriety.
