Regionalist Art Deco Oak Sideboard - France, 1930

This oak sideboard presents a strong and structured presence, where the richness of its decorative elements is balanced by a rigorous construction. The front is animated by a composition of carved circular motifs and vertical fluting, creating a dense yet perfectly ordered rhythm, in a spirit reminiscent of the work of Charles Dudouyt, Victor Courtray, and Joseph Savina. The top, made of wide planks with a warm patina, highlights the natural depth and variation of the wood. The projecting base, almost architectural in its stance, firmly grounds the piece, while the wooden handles integrate seamlessly into the design. Rooted in the spirit of French regionalism of the 1930s, this sideboard combines traditional craftsmanship with an Art Deco vocabulary. Both decorative and functional, it brings a strong and distinctive presence to an interior.
