Pair of Modernist Armchairs - France, 1930

Pair of modernist armchairs in wood and cane, France, 1930. Their lines recall the work of Jean Royère during the 1930s. The broad armrests curve into the upright supports. Rectangular, sloping backrests and caned seats feature an open weave whose pale colour contrasts with the brown wood. Low stretchers further define the open structure of the chairs, visible from both the sides and the back. The armchairs are sold without cushions. Our workshop can make cushions on request.
