Pair of Art Deco Lounge Chairs in the manner of Jacques Adnet - France, 1940

This pair of lounge chairs carries a calm, structured presence, defined by full volumes and a low, almost architectural silhouette. Their design, characteristic of French furniture from the 1940s, recalls the refined rigor associated with Jacques Adnet. The wide armrests extend naturally from the seat, creating a continuous and enveloping form. The beige upholstery, understated and luminous, enhances the softness of the volumes, while the wooden base discreetly grounds the piece. Balancing comfort with formal clarity, these chairs reflect a French approach where proportion takes precedence over ornament. They sit naturally within composed interiors, bringing stability, coherence, and presence. The armchairs are presented with their original upholstery. Reupholstery is recommended and can be fully carried out in our workshop, with careful attention to preserving the original spirit and proportions.
