Pair of Art Deco Armchairs - France, 1920

This pair of French Art Deco armchairs dates from 1920. Sloping backs and curved arms give the chairs an enveloping silhouette. The red imitation leather upholstery was fitted approximately forty years ago. Rows of nailheads trace the edges of the seats and sides. The dark wood frames remain visible along the arms and legs. The armchairs are shown with their current upholstery and require reupholstering. Our in-house upholstery workshop can undertake the full restoration and help select fabrics suited to the character of these pieces.
