Pair of Armchairs by René Drouet

René Drouet (along with André Arbus, Maxime Old and others) is part of that group of decorators who updated the art deco style in the post-war period. These armchairs are evidence of Drouet's defense of the decorator's figure. We see in its accentuated and wide curves, reminiscent of the work of Jean Royère, a balance between exuberance and rationality. It must be said that they are very comfortable, spacious and ergonomic armchairs, ideal for resting next to a fireplace in winter, for example. As they are extremely rare pieces, we did not want to change the fabric that covers them from the outset. But we can take care of it. We suggest, for example, to cover them with an exquisite mohair or a sand colored bouclette fabric. For those who prefer a more classic style, we can also cover them in silk.
