Montréal chairs by Olivier Mourgue: one chair from the front, the other one from the back

« Montréal » Chairs by Olivier Mourgue. Ed. Airborne

Olivier Mourgue made a name for himself with his futuristic "Djinn" chair. His style stands out with a great sense of modernity and poetry. In 1967 Mourgue designed the « Montréal » series for the Universal Exposition 1967. After an initial order placed by the Mobilier National, they were produced by Airborne in very small quantities, so they're very rare to find. The chairs are made in fiberglass and foam. We've upholstered them in a rich sand-colored 'Teddy Mohair' velvet from Pierre Frey®. The chic brought by this long pile fabric adds a cozy and comfortable touch. It is an emblem of the 60s due to its originality and its organic shape.
