Low Chairs in the Style of André Sol - France, 1940
This elegant pair of French lounge chairs from the 1940s reflects the work of André Sol (1905–1987), a French designer known for combining modernist forms with the refinement of late Art Deco design. Crafted in solid wood, the chairs are distinguished by their restrained architectural lines, slightly inclined high backrests, and generously proportioned seats, revealing a careful balance between comfort, elegance, and geometric purity. Their clean structure and harmonious proportions recall French postwar creations situated between late Art Deco and modernism. The lounge chairs retain their original upholstery fabric. Reupholstery should be expected. Our in-house workshop can undertake a complete restoration, offering fabric selections that respect the period and character of the pieces.
