Art Deco Armchairs: general overview of both pieces next to each other facing opposite directions

French Regionalist Art Deco Armchairs 1920

This pair of regionally made art deco armchairs comes from a long and peaceful century of life in a villa in Biarritz. They have a green upholstery that, on its back and seat, stand out centered white floral figures. The personality of the fabric is complemented by untouched usage signs that tell family stories and the passage of different generations who saw in this domestic pair of armchairs one more member sharing its existence in a relaxed resting place. These armchairs are very comfortable and massive. Both the origin of the pieces and the work on the tapestry could lead one to thinking that this work could be the creation of Victor Courtray or Benjamin Gómez. Given the character of a collector's item, we have not touched the armchairs, they are in their original condition in which we found them. However, we can take care of reupholstering them with the fabric of the future owner's choice.
