Desk and Armchair - France, 1930 in the style of Michel Dufet

This French desk from 1930, in the style of Michel Dufet, is accompanied by an armchair. The desk is made of figured bird’s-eye maple, with a patterned grain across its rectangular top and sides. Two drawers beneath the top have solid blackened-wood pulls. The desk stands on solid side supports with a slight step in their profile. The armchair has a straight back and detached arms with flat armrests. Its straight legs end in slightly recessed sections of black-lacquered wood.
