Pine stool by Christian Durupt: seen from the front, you can see the curved seat

Pine Wood Stool by Christian Durupt

In Méribel numerous chalets and public buildings bear the signature of the architect Christian Durupt. He continued the work begun by Charlotte Perriand in the late 40s in this town of the french Alps. Like the aforementioned Perriand, Durupt took charge not only of plans for buildings, but also furnishing. Chairs, stools, tables, storage units and others were created by him in order to provide comfort and functionality to those who visit the region in winter and summer, not forgeting the centuries-old tradition of mountain furniture This stool is one of his most sought after pieces among collectors. It stands out for its elegance and the rationality of its lines. Ours is in very good condition.
