Méribel chair by Charlotte Perriand: Overall view of the front

« Méribel » Chair by Charlotte Perriand. Ed. Steph Simon

Iconic piece of the most recognized french woman designer of the 20th century: Charlotte Perriand. The first prototype of the Méribel Chair was created during her visit to Japan. Then it was manufactured for the chalets of the ski resort of Méribel in the 50s, and a continuous production was established by the no less emblematic Steph Simon Gallery. The design consists of a structure reinforced by an X-shaped support located under the seat. Our chair in particular is in great condition, the seat was remade in corn straw about fifteen years ago. This gives it a soft patina with green highlights.

Dimensions : L42 x D42 x H75 cm Seat Height : 45 cm
