Art Deco Table - France, 1940 in the style of Charles Dudouyt

This Art Deco oak table was made in France in the 1940s. Its substantial silhouette is defined by architectural lines and a dark patina. The rectangular top features framed panels, with the wood grain forming a geometric pattern. Extensions allow the table to be lengthened. The base has two substantial supports joined by a low stretcher. Rounded mouldings accent the foot of each support, above broad rectangular plinths.
