Armchairs by Henry Jacques Le Même: overview of the chairs side by side

Armchairs by Henry Jacques Le Même. Ed. Le Chalet « Le Sarto »

This magnificent set of two chairs have been in conversation with each other since their creation in 1941 by the seminal French architect Henry Jaques Le Même for the Le Sarto chalet in Megève. The low and long seat of its silhouettes reveal a restful character. They have, throughout their work on the sycamore wood, curves that blur the boundaries between the sinuous and the straight. This can be seen in the armrests with curved surfaces and structures that end in subtle inclination. Also in the delicate ergonomic work of the backrest. Due to their collectible nature, these pieces have not undergone restoration. We can, of course, take care of reupholster them in the prefered fabric of of their future owner.
